What a great morning! I was actually up at 7 this morning. Getting up early makes me feel like such an old lady a grownup!
I decided not to lay around and be a complete pile most of the morning like I did yesterday so I immediately brewed up a pot of Jim’s Organic Coffee:

I found this little bag of coffee in Ft. Collins, Colorado when we went on vacation there in July. This coffee is really good and I found out a way to make it even better. Aromas was brewing up my favorite cup o’ joe but the other morning when I went in there to buy some, they’re no longer making it. Uh, what? I was excited to find a flavored coffee – plain old cinnamon – that wasn’t a fancy latte that cost $4. The barista dude told me that all they did to flavor up their brew was add cinnamon to their grounds….oh. Why hadn’t I ever thought of that for home? I’m so smart sometimes. So yesterday morning, I added cinnamon to my coffee prior to hitting the little brew button and voila! Cinnamon coffee! It’s gooood and gives you a flavored coffee for much less dinero than the coffee shops. Although I’d still drink this coffee without the flavoring, it’s tasty on it’s own!
Today is also return of the smoothie aka The Green Monster. Although mine this morning was colored a little more like a doody monster:

It’s not the bright green I usually create but whatevs, adding some coconut/pineapple juice made it really good even if the color isn’t as pretty. Also included in the mix:
- Blueberries
- Strawberries
- Frozen banana
- Spinach
- Scoop of Perfect Food
I also thought I’d take a pic of my little friend that greeted me this morning, Brunhilda. She lives in my kitchen window:

She’s almost as cool as the praying mantis I posted about yesterday. Some people would get freaked out about a spider living in their window but she’s (OK, she could be a he, who knows?) not bothering me there. As long as she keeps her ass on that side of the glass and doesn’t come in to help me cook dinner or start asking for her cricket to be cooked medium well, our relationship will be just fine. I actually think it’s neat to have a spider like that so close without worrying about it crawling on my face at night. What would you do? Kill it or let her do her (his?) thang?
